 presented the Romanian good practices to the participants, the situation of big families in Arad, and family-friendly workplaces also introduced themselves. The participants took part in several institution visits during the event. Event 2 Participation: The event involved 119 citizens, including 39 participants from the city of Gyula (Hungary), 30 participants from the city of Arad (Romania), 30 participants from the city of Miercurea Ciuc (Romania), 5 participants from the city of Ditzingen (Germany), 8 participants from the city of Covasna (Romania), 4 participants from the city of Budrio (Italy), 3 participants from the city of Wagrowiec (Poland) Location / Dates: The event took place in Gyula, Hungary from 11/04/2014 to 13/04/2014 Short description: At the event, the background of the project was presented as well as the family policy of the European Union and we laid down the programme plan of the whole project. Participating twin cities presented the initiatives of their settlements and good practices. Professional programme elements included visits to institutions, meetings for civil society organisations and cultural programmes. Event 3 Participation: The event involved 86 citizens, including 36 participants from the city of Gyula (Hungary) and 50 participants from the city of Miercurea Ciuc (Romania). Location / Dates: The event took place in Miercurea Ciuc, from 16/05/2014 to 18/05/2014 Short description: During this event, participants visited family-friendly workplaces. Local civil society organisations were given an opportunity to introduce themselves during the event and elaborated model programmes. During the conference and workshops, emphasis was put on the role of intergenerational solidarity in the conciliation of work and family life. Within the framework of the e vent the towns of Gyula and Miercurea-Ciuc renewed their twining and cooperation agreement. Event 4 Participation The event involved 86 citizens, including 32 participants from the city of Gyula (Hungary) and 54 participants from the city of Budrio (Italy) Location / Dates: The event took place in Budrio, Italy, from 20/06/2014 to 22/06/2014 Short description: The theme of the meeting was the discussion of the local adaptation of good practices, presentation of local model programmes, visit of local businesses, civil society organisations. This event focuses on the role of civil society in supporting families and combating poverty. Speakers of the conference gave presentations regarding this theme and working good practices were presented in this area. Event 5 Participation: The event involved 79 citizens, including 52 participants from the city of Gyula (Hungary) and 27 participants from the city of Ditzingen (Germany). Location / Dates: The event took place in Ditzingen, Germany, from 14/11/2014 to 16/11/2014 Short description: Here, participants were able to get an insight into the German model programmes, got to know German social-legal regulations and the activities of civil society organisations in the field of conciliating work and family life. On the second day of the event, once again, the participants got to know local citizens during cultural programmes. Event 6 Participation: The event involved 114 citizens, including 59 participants from the city of Gyula (Hungary), 10 participants from the city of Arad (Romania), 10 participants from the city of Miercurea Ciuc (Romania), 10 participants from the city of Ditzingen (Germany), 10 participants from the city of Covasna (Romania), 8 participants from the city of Budrio (Italy), 7 participants from the city of Wagrowiec (Poland) Location / Dates: The event took place in Gyula, Hungary, from 06/02/2015 to 08/02/2015 Short description: Here, all project events were evaluated, twin towns presented their model programmes, good practices. The project results were presented and during the workshops, participants discussed the future of cooperation.
